Happy Birthday!

I just had to have this stamp from Penny Black, fell in love with it as soon as I seen it on Facebook. I have partially stamped it with Tim Holtz ink. I'm a blue person through and through, always has been my favourite colour. I especially love blue flowers which most of mine are in my garden. Added a couple of wee butterflies and pearls to finish off my centre piece.

Happy Birthday Boys!

Two very quick cards made in a hurry as don't seem to be in crafty mode at mo. Hope that's not going to last, very frustrating! Went with balloons, no time to colour cause that takes hours here and what kid doesn't like balloons and do they really look at the card! What's inside is far more interesting even for a three year old!

Cut two cloud dies, taped together and starting inking from top to bottom with TH distress blues.

Rock N Roll Oldtimer!

Lay in bed wondering what on earth to make for my brothers special birthday and got to thinking music this time round and rolled back the years to turntables, I remember them too lol!

Papers were a mix and match of two different brands, not sure which as have had them a long time and no covers left! Wanted a vintage look so monochrome was the way to go.

The record I used black cardstock, used a rainbow die,cut twice and glued onto a circle The arm just some cut strips. Buttons and twine to finish off.

Say It With Flowers!

Made this a couple of weeks ago when I was in full swing in my craft room and since then nothing. Im sure I work better in a messy craftroom lol! Tidied up and then nothing!
Used a digi stamp I bought off Etsy. Wanted some new flower stamps and have been trawling the online shops but just can't justify the cost of the ones I like. Once I make my mind up (I like too many) I might treat myself. Another Z fold card   and  kept it simple. Coloured with Copics.

Have a lovely Easter weekend and I do hope the warm weather reaches us up here! Hot tub coming out at long last, cant wait, just hope the mice haven't had a go at it!!!

Bring Out The Old!

Wow!! I stamped a stamp lol. An old wooden Pennyblack wooden one called 'Whispers', maybe old but still as pretty. 

I stamped and embossed with detail white and coloured the flowers with Copics. 

Not sure if mines clean and simple but the flower says it all I think!

Quickie Cards!

Two quickie cards using up die cuts I found while reorganising my stash. Nothing elaborate but got me using my inks for a change. Hopefully going to have another go and be more adventurous with background inking, been a long time since I did any inky playing, just wish I had more oomph about me lol! I live in hope......

Given up stating die companies as have way too many dies and some have been about for an age. Haven't bought any new dies in ages as need to play with what I have and I don't get to play as often as I would like. 

I used the background diecut as a stencil for this one, looks out of focus but isn't, weird effect to the eyes I think!

Dis Digi Designs Challenge - Fany Folds

Love this kind of shaped card, a card within a card I always think. 

I have used bearing presents coloured with Copics 

I was of the thinking my grandson reaching nine, my card had to be all about playstations and the games  he played on them but how wrong I was. While playing in my craft room one day, he chose a teddy image to colour up for a friend and told me he loved teddies. Problem solved for me then. But of course will he even notice the adorable ted, more like what's hiding inside will be of more interest on the day!

Grand daughter's card to her Dad

Today Im sharing an amazing card made by my grand daughter who is 11 years old. A little bit of input from her nana but the design was mostly her choice. She did a great job putting it all together I think and so proud how far she has come with her card making.

Birthday Girl

Been playing with scrap card again, a bit of a hoarder of scap lol! Especially when it comes to specialist types of card, have a  wallet with clear pockets full of scraps that come in handy when something little is needed to finish off a card. So easy to flick through.  Simple card using some unloved flower dies that  needed to blossom again. Topper mounted on to foam pads and mounted onto denim look digi paper. Finished card is 7x7.

Party Parade

Love everything about this card, not often I say that but adore this LOTV stamp (saying that, only stamped up twice but then I love so many images I have lol)and the pretty papers go perfectly and to show it off I made an Easel card not to clutter it all up.Don't seem to like clutter nowadays, how your tastes change. 

     papers Ive had for ever, matted and layered with co ordinating card and just added a flower to finish.

Cut the wording out three times, glued together for more dimension. The lace was supposed to go on before I matted and layered but forgot so affixed it to matching card and added last so no harm done there lol!

Say it with flowers

Hello, first of my simple flower cards, must say got a bit addicted to making these kinda cards, great way to play with dies you haven't used for ages or maybe in my case never seen the die cutting machine! Loving the bright colours and not a patterned paper in sight. Cant tell you the flower dies used, sorry, have to admit just have too many and not bought yesterday but any flowers would look just as effective. Finished off with wee buttons, stitched through with linen thread coloured with copic green.
