A very large gift tag to go on top of his pressy, I'm sure you can guess what's inside! I made the pallette on the Silhouette Cameo, came into my life about a year ago, sad circumstances, a crafting friend died suddenly.  I never seemed to be in the right frame of mind to use it. Been watching a few You Tube clips to get me started and  Im in love lol!! Not the best of pics as taken with my iPhone, where o where did I lay my camera memory card down!! I have used Dis digi stamp modern art mice and coloured with Copics. Heart die cuts coloured to match, paintbrushes made on Silhouette and added a touch of sparkle.

My Wee Man!

I say that because it looks just like my gorgeous wee bundle of grumpy fun of a Westie Rory, lol! Isn't this LOTV image just adorable. Printed image off at size 6x5 inches and I coloured him with Copics and Ive made a wallhanging as you can see.

Dis Digi Designs Challnge - For The Boys

My DT card for Dis Digi Designs Challenge. 
We want to see one for the boys this week. I have used Kick off Ted which you can get pre coloured or black and white ready to colour up yourself. I coloured him with my copics and created a rosette for s young man who's football team is red and white. Ribbon attached so he can hang it up.

White on White!

This might be my first and last attempt at playing with Gesso and textured paste and since I don't have much in the way of different mediums to bring it to life I went for white on white and just inked the edges of everything. Played safe I think, should of gone to some mixed media classes so I could of let my hair down. I like it so thats the main thing.

I love the challenge of monochrome, especially when using colours, it's the balance of getting the shades to look just right. This is my favourite monochrome colour, just like my craft room, makes me feel right at home!

Ive gone with Martial Arts just because my gorgeous grandchildren are into it and they are fun to watch. This is a photo book made for Naomi to keep a record of her achievements another to make later for Robbie. Still to add sentiment but first I have to find my letter dies, seem to have mislaid them, hopefully not landed in the bin! Only had them last week but where o where did I put them lol!

Had used up my thick black card so glued three pieces of card together, two black with a pink card in the middle, made a strong cover. Added white card for adding the piccies and blinded it all with my Bind it All machine. Was time I gave it an airing!  The image is from Polkadoodles, coloured with Copics.

Lines or No Lines

A new challenge starting today over on As You Like It and this time round we would like to see Lines or No lines! Whats your favourite when it comes to colouring? Remember to tell us why.  Mines definitely Lines. No lines are such a strain on my eyes and some of the no line digital images are just too faint for me. I sometimes tone down a lined image because I think its a wee bit harsh but thats about it. I have used Colour me Wonderful  by Saturated Canary, had her for some time, always wanted to colour her up but all that hair, didn't know where to start! My colouring course has definitely given me confidence to colour images out of my comfort zone.

A Simple Wallhanging

My wee gift is a little wall hanging. Trying out my colouring skills, loved how the daisies turned out but need more practice on the leaves. Love making them to give away for no particular reason but to brighten up someones day, well I hope it does lol!  Make it Crafty Daisy image coloured with Copics. One of the Daisies is paper pieced as major surgery was needed after pen oozed out an orange blob lol! Forgot to take off both caps didn't I. Cut frame with Xcut dies and embossed with wood embossing folder. Cas was definitely on my mind for the daisy image and the lady receiving this doesn't like over the top creations so kept it very plain, says it all for me without any dressing up. Loved colouring it and look forward to doing it again in another colour.

Since Christmas is creeping up on me too quickly I decided it had to be something Christmassy and  'From our house to your house' is a lovely Christmassy song. Decorated up this house with Maja Christmas papers I was so lucky to win on Facebook. Painted first with acrylic paint then frosted up with sticklers. Placed a tealight in the roof and forgetful me forgot to turn the light on didnt I!

Short and sweet from me today, so tired out, been sitting with my poorly Mum past couple of days and not feeling like blogging at the mo. But hope you are in crafty mode and come and join in with our challenge.

Wall Hanging of the lovely Grace

Another driery day here so I set about finishing off bits of painting that had to be done in my new extension, just about there now then I can add my personal stamp to it all. Waiting for paint to dry so thought I wquld come on and share a wall hanging I made the other week using Grace from Sugar Nellie at Funkykits. Coloured up with Promarker/Flexmarkers. I then cut her out and mounted her onto backing paper from Maja Designs and framed with Navy cardstock.

That's it from me today, hopefully get back to Christmas card making. Going down the very simply road. Last minute as usual, maybe next year will be different. Seem to say that every year lol!

As You Like It

Morning and welcome to another As You Like It challenge. Its Gift Wrap this fortnight and please remember to tell us why its your favourite as that's part of the challenge fun! To be honest I didn't have a clue what I was going to make this time round but a little bit of browsing on Pinterest, well to be completely honest spent rather a long time and got sidetracked onto just about everything lol! I had a template lying about in my craftroom but for the life of me couldn't find it when I needed it so found a template on Pinterest so time wasn't altogether wasted on there!
I have gone for a little gift box holder to conceal something pretty inside, love it because its simple, quick and can make it more or less any size I want. I used a 12x12 Kraft sheet from docrafts and cut it to 12x81/4.

A Christmas Wreath

Lovely to be asked to be Guest Designer on Crafting By Design this month.
 Decided to go all Christmassy with my new papers from Craftwork cards. Couldn't wait to play with them such gorgeous Christmassy colours and designs. I bought the complete set and got the cracker template cards free.

 I used Kraft card and Cream Linen card for the basic design. Cut the circles using Spellbinders large dies then embossed with A4 embossing folder for texture. Inked the edges with TH distress inks then started to layer up with TH Poinsettia die, Memorybox medium and small Rose dies, inked all the edges and finished off with Frosted Stickles. The Ivy leaf flourish is from Joanna Sheen. Finished off with a few pearls and Gingham bow. The centre I used Kraft card and one of the Sentiment pieces from the Paperpad. The large bow at the Top comes from a pad full of different patterned papers and sizes that comes with the collection, bows on everything this year lol!
Finished with a Gingham ribbon to hand for everyone to see. Hope you Like.

Favourite Design Papers

Oh dear, a big oops from me today!! I realise it's Thursday now, didn't a few minutes ago! Been wrong with what day it is all week lol! I thought it was Friday today and can't believe a fortnight has gone by since our last challenge. Think I need to Spring clean my head ! Okay, glad I had my post just about finished so better get on and tell you what our challenge for the next fortnight is.

I have used their dress template, copied to word, resized it and printed it out, base on cardstock and top layer using my favourite design papers Papermania, Parisienne Blues. My favourite colours and so so pretty. Added ribbon, lace and pearls to finish.

Copied the template into word, resized and printed it out. Can make it any size you want, use it as a card or as I have a topper for cards, bags, boxes etc.

Gosh my brains in reverse gear today lol, why are they my favourite papers! Missed that bit out didnt I! Love the old fashioned look these papers have, the pretty roses, love Roses and have loved dark Blues ever since i can remember. Just had a thought!! Why are people drawn to a certain colour? I know some colours don't suit me and I know I love the cosy look but then some folks think Blue is cold. Love blue skies and blue seas so must be the reason I love it. There if I dug deep enough into my dizzy head I knew I would find the answer lol!!!!

As You Like It Challenge

My favourite colour combo has to be Blue and Cream. Loved it since I was  a child. Why I'm not really sure, I can only say I'm always been drawn to it when buying anything from clothes to things for the home. Okay, I have made a few things now with these gorgeous papers from Papermania, so me and so love them. I have revamped a rather grotty looking notelet drawer box that has been lying around for some years waiting to be updated and so pleased with the result.

This is the before

 Painted it first with Acrylic paint and distressed the edges with Tim Holtz inks  and then the fun part began!

And this is the after.

The top  is decorated with a doily, cream lace, think it's a Memory box die and the Butterfly is Spellbinders. Finished off with K&Co pearl brads and metal corners

 The drawers I added a Memory Box die flower flourish and pearls. The drawer knobs I glued two buttons together, painted with the acrylic paint, using a circle punch, cut a circle from the patterned paper, glued to button knob then inked with clear embossing ink and dipped in clear embossing powder, heated and repeated several times to glaze the button knob. Then glued in place on each drawer.
