Totally Special!

Hiding in my craft room on a dull windy afternoon. Not very summery here in my little corner of Scotland. Not that Im getting much done, tootering about doing much of nothing lol!! Made this card a couple of weeks ago, coloured up Lee Holland bunny rabbits, two seperate images I paired up together and cloured with Warm Greys with just a hint of Pink. Dotty paper from  'the lovely studio' and backing card is mocha brown colour.

Dis Digi Designs Challenge - For a Child

My DT card for the new challenge starting today over on dis digi designs challenge blog. Create something for A Child is the theme this fortnight. Highland Lass

An 8x8 card today with dis digital stamps Highland Lass, one of the images I chose for winning their challenge with my Oh baby card. Living on a farm she had to be one of my choices and she is just adorable and so enjoyed colouring her in.   This is for my granddaughter who loves helping out with the cows and calves  on the farm every weekend,

Been awhile!

Woo hoo, finally made it back on here! Where have I been? Won't bore you with my illness, let's just say it put me in my place for awhile along with a bad back but hopefully thats now history and I can get on with life again and hopefully make crafty things again.

 Haven't made anything since this card just before Christmas, was a rush job, last minute request and finished in one afternoon. Hate being put on the spot but I think I get on better having no time to dither here or there, this way or that way, which papers dies, oh the list goes on when I have the time lol! Was so pleased how this turned out.

I loved it, didn't want to give it away, really need to stop thinking that way, just hope it was well received.

Sizzix Poinsettia large die,Trimcraft Christmas papers, edges inked with TH Frayed Burlap

For the Just for you die I used papers and embossed with Frantage, loved the result. I cut three die cuts out and layered them to make it pop more. 

Paper edges roughed up and torn then inked

Spellbinders die cut rectangle finished off with mocha pearls

Memory box holly flourish cut out in gold, tiny red gems added to stems.

My card deserved a box since the Poinsettia was BIG and didn't want it getting squashed,  used linen card and followed the card theme without giving to much away, I think! 

Haven't been in my craft room for over a month till today, gave it a bit of a tidy up and along with my new crafty buys, oh yes, I did manage that while layed up. Had to do something to fill my days lol!!! Just need broadband to behave now, it is so slow, at this rate we might have to go satellite yet. Need to get hubby to look into that, not holding my breath, now if it had something to do with farming he would be straight onto it!

As You Like It Challenge Cute or Elegant

Hello, here with my my DT card for As You Like It and this fortnight we would love to see your favourite Cute or Elegant cards and remember to say why in your link up.

I love cute but it's a lovely change to do something with all my dies so I have opted for Elegant, love doing these too cause they are just as pretty and not everyone likes cute on a card they receive. Also fitted in with making a card for my Mum who was Eighty Four on Tuesday. Papers are from the new Nitwits collection, wait for it! Dearly Beloved, yes Wedding papers but many of the pretty papers I thought could be used for any occasion.

Engagement

Hello everyone,
Made two Engagement cards for my friend to pick from and I knew she wasn't going to like the Black and White look but went down that road with the first as I liked the idea I had set on and I thought would look great in that colour combo. Well she didn't like it lol!  Well after much deliberation and her Mum's input, Mum is Eight Two, good on you Daisy for seeing that the couple might love it and you know what! They did and even my friend came round to that thinking too.

Hat's off to You!

Morning, here with a Graduation card for a young man, my first ever. Very simple design, 7x5 card, embellishes hand made, Congrats from Cuttlebug and the Fishtail, a  Dienamics. A card that should of taken all of  fifteen mins took me ages! What a tooter I am with layouts lol.

A bit of a lazy day for me I think, a good night out at neighbours, feasted on Curry and Pavalova, oh, and a few glasses of Wine.. Three choices, which to choose was the hard bit so had all three. I ate way too much as usual but I can tell you it was hard not too, so delicious. Lesley has a small market garden, I think she should add Curries to her business.Would definitely be at the front of the cue. Oops, spelling my girl, queue  Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

Monday again and I'm certainly not moaning about Monday blues! So good to feel good for a change and I certainly didn't use it to do housework, instead I spent the last two days crafting. This was the first thing I made

Mother's Day

Morning from snowy Aberdeenshire, so cold here, the house is freezing. We had the utility room  demolished last year and a new extension was started and then came to a halt so the cold is coming straight through the bare walls, brrrrrrrrrrrr! My washing machine is out in the carport, it's frozen too lol, so no washing being done. Had a really busy weekend with family so lying low once again till the batteries recharge, will have to put them on booster lol as i have to go to the hospital today to see my Mum, it's dinging on snow again here up in the hills but hopefully nearer the coast there will be nothing. Hate driving on snowy roads, so many inconsiderate drivers out there, flying past you if not a second can be lost!

A Mother's day card for my Mum. She loves Owls and so do I and when I saw this one I had to have her, just too cute. I bought her a wee adorable metal frog, a small posy of Spring flowers and put them in a pretty little gift bag. She has always loved frogs, has several sorts scattered round her house but was sad to see she didn't recognise the little fella, Least she still knows who I am and even knew hubby so that's a good thing.

Daydreaming!

Morning, a card I made last week, not getting anywhere this week making any. Think I overdid  my good spell, never mind will resume soon I'm sure . This is Grace, I bought the full version of her and cut her down for this card. Isn't she just adorable, she looks so like my granddaughter, my friend thought it was when I showed it to her. Making her into a wall hanging for my bedroom, that's when we ever get round to decorating it. Bought the wall paper three years ago and still not done. Hope I still like it when we finally get round to doing it!!!!! I say we, not sure who that refers to as hubby doesn't do decorating and not sure if I can anymore, mmmmmn lol!

By The Cute And Girly Challenge Reminder

A wee reminder of By The Cute And Girly Challenge and the theme Roses are Red. A special order this one.....a card for my Son. When I seen this image I thought it was perfect for him!  Kept it fussy free, think she's a no frills kinda girl so wanted to reflect this in the card.

Used a hearts punch for the flower and a Marianne flower die to make the Rose.

Oh this image made me laugh, young love eh, couldn't see Hubby leaping over benches for me nowadays lol, probably do himself an injury.

 Coloured the image with ice greys 1-5 with a splash of Crimson.

The card is an 8x8, the backing DP is white card stamped with a Hero Arts Flourish stamp and matched it up with some spotted paper.  The corner leaf die is from Memorybox.

50th

Going to try and be quick with this one as i have no option but to,  ooooooo (cringe) do some housework,

 ouch that was painful lol

 Being ill last week has left the house in a sorry state and I do not have a domestic goddess of a Husband to keep it ship shape in fact I'm sure he would live in a pig sty and not notice.

A card I made for friends who tied the knot at the weekend. Took it with me and left it in my Sons car lol. Had visions he would pick up his friends and it would get sat on but all was okay, managed to retrieve it and hand it over at the end of the night.

Hopefully I'll catch up with you all, where on earth does the time go, I seem to be constantly chasing my tail.

Off to School

 A mini Scrapbook for my granddaughter who is off to school this time. Will just need to get some piccies of the first day, then will finish the inside off.

Been a long time since my Zutter was dusted down and played with. Off course where had I put the wee instruction booklet in one of my rare tidy up moods. No point in relying on my dizzy head! It can make things up without encouraging it to lol! Anyway, wasn't to long in finding it and got  creating. My first Scrapbook. When I bought it I had all intentions of  making loads of wee keepsakes, well it's finally happening, better late than never, dare I say, three/four years down the line!
