Happy Birthday!

I just had to have this stamp from Penny Black, fell in love with it as soon as I seen it on Facebook. I have partially stamped it with Tim Holtz ink. I'm a blue person through and through, always has been my favourite colour. I especially love blue flowers which most of mine are in my garden. Added a couple of wee butterflies and pearls to finish off my centre piece.

I have used 'more lipstick please', not for the first time but was itching to colour and didn't have any new dis images to hand at that moment and it's perfect for what I have in mind . There's an awful lot of pink going on here lol! Never been one for pink but okay with the occasional card,I can live with that! I used Pink glitter glue on the compact and ring.

Say It With Flowers!

Made this a couple of weeks ago when I was in full swing in my craft room and since then nothing. Im sure I work better in a messy craftroom lol! Tidied up and then nothing!
Used a digi stamp I bought off Etsy. Wanted some new flower stamps and have been trawling the online shops but just can't justify the cost of the ones I like. Once I make my mind up (I like too many) I might treat myself. Another Z fold card   and  kept it simple. Coloured with Copics.

Have a lovely Easter weekend and I do hope the warm weather reaches us up here! Hot tub coming out at long last, cant wait, just hope the mice haven't had a go at it!!!

Bring Out The Old!

Wow!! I stamped a stamp lol. An old wooden Pennyblack wooden one called 'Whispers', maybe old but still as pretty. 

I stamped and embossed with detail white and coloured the flowers with Copics. 

Not sure if mines clean and simple but the flower says it all I think!

Birthday Girl

Been playing with scrap card again, a bit of a hoarder of scap lol! Especially when it comes to specialist types of card, have a  wallet with clear pockets full of scraps that come in handy when something little is needed to finish off a card. So easy to flick through.  Simple card using some unloved flower dies that  needed to blossom again. Topper mounted on to foam pads and mounted onto denim look digi paper. Finished card is 7x7.

Party Parade

Love everything about this card, not often I say that but adore this LOTV stamp (saying that, only stamped up twice but then I love so many images I have lol)and the pretty papers go perfectly and to show it off I made an Easel card not to clutter it all up.Don't seem to like clutter nowadays, how your tastes change. 

     papers Ive had for ever, matted and layered with co ordinating card and just added a flower to finish.

Cut the wording out three times, glued together for more dimension. The lace was supposed to go on before I matted and layered but forgot so affixed it to matching card and added last so no harm done there lol!

A simple Birthday card

A simple card, it explains itself really. Just some die cuts and scattered sparkles. I'm hopeless nowadays remembering which company's dies are from ( there are so many or is it I have too many lol) but think they are Memorybox. In a hurry, mojo flat so simple is the way to go in my book. It always does the trick.

All Dressed Up adorable cutie

My card today is using a freebie kindly provided by Wendy from All Dressed Up over on Kit and Clowder, isn't she adorable! In her shop now on Etsy.  Loved colouring her up, mind you, took some time but was worth it.
Decided to keep it clean and fresh looking.

White card from Polkadoodles, love the smoothness and different weights so can use it for different things, mix and match so the whites are the same!

Say it with flowers!

Another die cutting session seems to be my trend at the mo here. Find it simpler to pull a few papers out and some dies and play about  when health has lost its sparkle at times so many of that kinda days nowadays. This keeps the madness away lol!!

Another 7x5 card this time, used smooth white card for matting and layering cut and embossed with a Spellbinder die. The pretty papers are scraps from MME. The flowers are a punch set, curl them in and some out to give some dimension then the tricky part making it all come together with the Memory box flourish which I cut in two, the 50th from Britannia dies and the tag thingies (forgotten their name lol) and the happy birthday sentiment.  Finished off with a couple of clear gems.

Time to Relax

A 7x5 card using an All Dressed Up image called Time to Relax coloured with Copics and teamed up with MME papers, love these colours together.  Used basic Spellbinder ovals and scalloped dies, the flower die I have had for way to long and never used and didn't realise how pretty it was when cut out and the bow Im afraid I can't remember the company,  now, lying in bed last night out of the blue it came to me it could be a Marieanne die!

Guest Designer at Stamping Sensations Challenge

Definitely away with the fairies here!

This is my card for Stamping Sensations challenge,.......one for the girls.......... and Im thrilled to be their Guest Designer this month. Guest designer and your LATE, not a good start but hopefully will be forgiven.

Another card using stamps bought and lying unloved in a cupboard.  Stamped it on to some mme backing papers then inked edges, cut out extra flowers and added some Wink o Stella clear . Fairies finish it off beautifully!

Happy Birthday

I have been asked to share how I make a card not so easy when you just go with the flow and enjoy how it turns out, change my mind so many times on the way, I call it experimenting and always learning whats right and wrong about it. I think beginner classes, Utube, Pinterest, Fiskars, Sizzix, craft magazines etc would be a good place to go as your seeing how they put it all together and Im certainly not Utube material lol!! Would frighten the life out of everyone!! Just use your imagination and have fun, we all improve along the way.

 So here goes
Have used a bought 6x6 scalloped card, matted and layered with Lilliput Lane papers, I don't measure these matts, just make them slightly smaller (approx .2cm) than the main card. I then used a corner punch to round the corners.  The centre piece, I used Tonic Studio Envelope 1 dies and just used the decorative part, cut on card then flip over die and line up along edge of first cut and fingers crossed it came out alright lol! I use a glue pen to stick to main card. Then using the Purple card, used two dies ( I used a scallop one then placed a basic rectangle die inside), one inside the other to make the frame(outside frame dimensions should be slightly bigger than decorative frame so won't be noticable, added foam pads to underside and place on top of decorative piece. Decorated with flowers, corner die underneath from Memorybox  and Spellbinder butterfly,made from dies.

Day Dreaming!

Well, didn't get back as quick as I thought with another card, got caught up cleaning. A very important room in the house gets way more attention than the rest of it, have spent some of my week tidying and re-arranging my craft room, things were getting a bit out of hand and needed to be sorted before I did myself an injury getting about my room! Think it's reaching bursting point lol!  Must update my craft room page with the new look before it becomes a shambles again, doesn't take much, one card and its all undone such a messy crafter,probably because I can never make my mind up what to use. 

Okay, my card, first one made this year, hooray. Been practising my colouring again, had got a bit rusty since it had been six months since I had done any and this little cutie from 'All Dressed Up', turned out pretty well so she deserved to go onto a card. She's day dreaming all sorts, looking out her window and is joined by butterflies and a dragonfly.

One of a Kind

A card for a special lady who doesn't act her age and is very stylish so this image was just perfect for her.  So enjoyed making this card, loved the colours and really enjoyed colouring her up. Now thats what I call progress in my colouring course! I actually said I enjoyed colouring her up lol. I always left the image to last, colouring for me was a scary moment. Loads of practise still to be done, bad hair days still but its a journey Im not going to end till I get there! Im so grateful to The Sugar Nellie Blog for making this happen and to Alyce of Kit & Clowder and the lovely Facebook followers for all their encouragement and lovely comments.

Was having a bad hair day when I made this card. You learn to colour many different styles and it wasn't going well so put it aside and coloured up this cutie instead. So wanted to keep this for myself lol but she's gone to a good home.
