As You Like It Challenge

Welcome to my blog
 and
a new challenge starting over on

This fortnight we would like to see your
 Favourite Embossing Folder

and remember to tell us why in your link up.

We are sponsored by        My Mums Craft Shop

My first card I have made this year, think I would receive the best award for time waster lol! Never seem to have much to show for my days and have an added time waster! Hubby has taken early retirement, a new beginning for us both, funny having him around everyday. Im sure if I suggest jobs around the house I won't see him for dust! At the moment I am following a colouring course on line at Kit and Clowder which I won on the Sugar Nellie blog, slow going but really enjoying it. Maybe take a rest from it and go and play with my new stash that's been lying on my desk waiting to be played with, dairn't go onto Pinterest for some inspiration as time seems to slip away so fast and then its  time for the humdrum things in life and crafting on hold once again lol!
Okay, about my card for today.

I have used Couture Creations 'Tied Together' embossing folder. Love it, especially for Wedding, Anniversary etc cards. Love the trellis affect and how you can add embellishes or not.

Cream Linen card
Red card
7x7 Cream card for base
Memory box heart die
Docrafts scalloped dies
Spellbinder with love die
Annie Allsop red\cream papers
Flower punch
Lace and pearls from stash

Your post has made me smile Carol. If anyone ever mentions the word retirement to my hubby he scowls and say's never, but should it ever happen I am sure he too wold be missing when I needed jobs doing.

Your card is a delight and the setting of the photo so very fitting.

Take care and hope you are not being too battered by the weather in your parts.

This is simply gorgeous Carol. Forget about things needing done around the house and just enjoy your retirement. My husband was self employed and loved his work until the first of three strokes made him retire. We have not had a chance to enjoy his retirement.
