The walls a pale bluey green and all the furniture painted with Duck Egg Blue and Cream, Annie Sloan Chalk paints. Finished off with a couple of coats of wax. I am so pleased I took the plunge and moved upstairs, a big project for me nowadays but it's been worth all the aches and pains. I can now hide away and play to my hearts content. Oh dear, the only down side to all of this is I got a bit carried away and there's not enough room for all my crafty friends to play at one time!
The hated wardrobes that I couldn't make my mind up if to tear out or not but pleased I left them. So much stash out of view from prying eyes. Think I'm a bit late with that excuse!
Inside of one of the fitted wardrobes, hooks on the doors for Hero Art stamp and cut sets and my big Spellbinder dies, still working on where to put the stuff from the other. I'm sure I'll find a new home for it all.
Perfect for my Laptop. Not very clear but stamped a Pennyblack flower on the front.
The wardrobe I bought from the charity shop
and fitted out with shelves
Now I can see exactly what card and paper I have. Didn't realise how much I had aquired.
An old chest of drawers that was falling to bits apart from the top drawer
and a small cupboard just perfect for some of my stamping stash!!
Tucked into the corner the old bookcase.
The wee dressing table I bought at the Sewing Room in Alford
So loved it.
and wasn't long in filling the drawers lol!
My desk is the old breakfast bar out of our kitchen, thought it had been thrown away but was gathering dust in the steading and my kids wonder why we never throw anything away! The cupboards were teak coloured and didn't escape the paint brush either. I decided I wanted the workspace to be down the middle of the room. I can work from both sides and get the light from the window and I can watch the world go by, not that you will see much out here! Bought curtain material from the Sew Room and whipped up a pair of curtains and still to finish a cushion cover for my computer chair.
Bought this wee storage box from Ikea a good few years back and never got round to painting it. Nothing has excaped the paint brush and what has is projects for later. Need a rest for now.
Two wall shelves for nicknaks and my beloved Teds.
And finally a view from the door. All very tidy but for how long!!!!
Well that's it meantime, thank you for stopping by.
