As You Like It Challenge

As You Like It Challenge

Hello everyone. Looks like I'm still not back to normal yet! So late with my DT card this fortnight. Completely forgot to post this before I went away on hols for a few days. A big sorry to my DT mates for being so disorganised. We went to the Isle of Lewis on the West of Scotland. The beaches around Harris are to die for and Mr Sun played along too. Hopefully post some piccies soon.  Just didn't want to come away so magical. Good to be home though and back in my new craft room. Still loads to do, a mound of card lying on the floor waiting to be sorted into boxes. Didn't realise how much I had. Will post soon with my efforts. Haven't made a card yet in my new room so going to get busy this next few days so I can get down to business again and hope I can find my way about lol!
Okay, this fortnight a card shape you like but not square and why.  I had to make a Ruby card for a friend, I love Easel cards for a special occasion. More card without being to big. Had just bought some new Spellbinder dies so rectangle was perfect for this one to show them off.

Top half of card
Used Cream Linen card and Bazil dark Red card
Sizzix embossed Heart dies
Lace stamp embossed with clear embossing powder
Roses and Ribbon from stash

Bottom part decorated in similar fashion.

The finished article

Decorated the box lid to match

Gorgeous card Carol. I love the dies. Your card has just reminded me that I "made" some lace paper some time ago and never used it - I now will have to get it out and use it when I see how wonderful it looks on a card.

Beautiful Carol. Love that stamped lace, looks like a really useful stamp to have.

Lucky you spending time in Lewis. My niece lives in Stornoway but we've never managed to get over there! Maybe one day lol!
