Retirement

Afternoon folks,  Wasn't sure where I was going with my card, nowthing new there! As I built it up it didn't feel quite right, didn't have a good feel about it at all! And working with green ! Not my favourite colour I like working with.! Not sure about the wee man leaning on his shovel but that's all I had. And since I didn't have much time to make this, the lady who passed the messege onto me from the  recipident had forgotton to tell me to make it! Took me two days off and on to complete, okay, if I didn't wonder off now and again making cups of Coffee and sitting down and having a browse through the blogs it would of been done and dusted earlier!  What do I think!  I am really pleased with the result and I hope they are too!

This is the box. Used coloured cardstock, luckily I had to match the card. Saved a lot of inking, Phew!! The center I used white linen card inked with Tim Holtz Rusty Hinge and Moss Green. 2 in 1 Fiskars Vine border punch. Hero Arts, ooo I've forgot it's name and printed sentiment onto top card.

This is the insert, not one for going over the top with them usually, must say really enjoy it when I do and really gives a card that little bit something!

Finally the card! Used white linen card, inked up with Tim Holtz once again and roughed up the edges with a pair of scissors. Usually use my TH tool but think the scissors give a much rougher edge! Now the scene!Tore a circle out and placed in center, then  stamped  with Hero Arts Canvas Stripe with Moss green and embossed with clear embossing powder, looks gold in places!! Inked over with Rusty Hinge. I then masked the Canvas Stripe and stamped Hero Arts Sillhoette Grass in the circle and inked. Stamped border with Great Impressions Lined Background, punched with Martha Stewart punch, hopefully looks like a fence!! Image from Great Impressions, coloured with Prisma pencils and the wee man was lurking in a folder and not sure where on earth he came from!. Finished off with Craftworks Candy, twine, TH clock face and own sentiment.

Hope you've stayed with me, I'm exhausted! Sorry if you are too after that long post. Think we need a coffee after that!. Thanks for bearing with me! Happy crafting!

Wow Carol, what a fright with that heading. I'm relieved to find you're not retiring from cardmaking lol!

Fabulous card and box. Love how you've done the inside too. I rarely do it either but it is worth it when you do. The card itself is stunning. You've put a lot of work and thought into it and it's been well worth it. Love the "wee man", he's pretty cute lol!
