WOYWW

Isn't he well disguised. A Sparrow Hawk made a visit yesterday morning. So well disguised amongst the dead flowers eating his breakfast! Didn't have time to futter with my new camera settings, didn't know how long he was going to stay. He could of been a bit more accomodating and stood to the side a bit!

Whats on my work desk , well in a mess as usual, there's no other way in my book, never have a plan, just go with the flow. Think I need to have a re think in the new year and get myself more organized, always working on the size of a postage stamp! Tell myself this every year and still no further on!  LOTV stamps on my desk, a little pressy to myself just before Christmas, well! can you blame me?  Don't get any crafty stuff from family but then, where would they start! Was in a bit of a panic yesterday, for the life of me couldn't remember where I had put them. Turned the whole place upside down looking for them and thought they had got caught up with the thrown out Christmas paper, Oh No!! All that yummy stamps lost for good. After rummaging half the afternoon came across them in the most unlikely place and for the life of me couldn't remember putting them there. Ah well, alls well that ends well, a happy bunny once again and now, off to have a bit of fun over on WOYWW.

Wishing you all a Happy Creative 2011

My Fab Five

Morning Folks, more snow fallen overnight and a bit windy up in the hills here, hope it isn't going to drift and make life difficult for my family getting in and about for Christmas. Did have a mysterious visitor in the night and the begger had whipped my new bird feeder full of nuts, that'll teach me to be lazy and hang it on a low branch near the house. I dare say my visitor was a bit peckish too but he could of left the feeder behind!
Debby over on A Scrapjourney is having a top five favourite. How Debby managed to pick her's I don't know so many wonderful creations . All you have to do is post your favourite five of the year and link to here post. This is mine.
Loved making my own background and of course the image is adorable
Playing with Tim Holtz, well it's the nearest I will ever get to it! One for my collection, just could not part with this one, loved it so much
Love red and white together and he is so cute!

Gorgeous papers, frosted Roses and she's just like I was on Christmas eve lol!!!!!

Used the greys I won the other week on the Penny Black Saturday  challenge, whoo hooo!  Seems to be easier if you have the colour range so do I buy more, we'll see. The challenge is to see some foilage, well mines not that easy to see but it is there. Used the Hero Arts Flourish Pine background stamp and Dots cling embossed with White Opaque embossing powder and Hobby Art Tree scene.

Pennyblack Snowman

Snow is back with a vengence here so wont be going anywhere. Must get out in next few days, microwave has given up the ghost and need another. Missing it to reheat my coffee so often forget about it while I'm crafting. More inportantly I really need to fall back on it on Christmas day. Still muddling along, don't seem to be any further on, organization is not a word  I would use to describe myself nowadays so will plod on and hopefully everything will fall into place like past years. Used this Pennyblack Snowman, coloured with Prisma pencils and added a touch of ~Glamour Glitter. Papers as usual, can't remember! Sizzix Snowflakes, sprayed with Crafters Companion glue and glittered with Glamour dust. Nesties, red lined card stock and Papermania gems and Craftworks shaped cards.

Nitwit Snowchildren

Well don't know about you but I'm totally weary with all this Christmas malarky, haven't been able to keep up with the blogging, running at the coos tail once again this year, so shattered. My hubby asked if I had done something which I don't recall saying I would, when I said I hadn't, he said what have you been doing! Men. Think it's time he had a go at cards and shopping, oh maybe not, don't think there would be a Christmas in our house. Love Christmas and really look forward to Christmas Eve by then there's no point in worrying if you've forgotton something. One last late order to make and that's it, no more! Bought these cute Nitwit Snowchildren and papers with my Grandchildren in mind. Quick and easy and so cute!

Hero Arts House

Nearing the end of my Christmas cards, must get them written out and posted and not 1st class like last year. At the last minute with everything as usual, time just seems to disappear and have little to show for it. Did get my tree up yesterday and as usual put it together wrong. Do it every year and thought I had got it right for once. Naomi, my three year old granddaughter wanted to decorate it and she made a great job of it. Having a quiet afternoon and then watching Xfactor final and an early night. Recharge my batteries before I tread Aberdeen streets for Christmas pressies.
Made this card last week and as usual have mislaid the paper brand and have such an awful memory these days can't remember what they are! Hero Arts Christmass house, Nesties, Craftworks candy and coloured with Prisma pencils.

Simple & Quick!

There just never seems to be enough time and I started earlier than usual making my cards this year. Where does it go, although I must say I'm a bit slow in churning them out! Four very quick and simple cards, in fact I made eight yesterday, an all time record for me. Used one 12x12 Fancy Pants designs sheet 'Frosted', Penny Black Sentiment and not sure about the other (a stamping afternoon with friends) and Sizzix Snowflakes, sprayed with Crafters Companion glue and glittered with Glamour dust.

Papers from Basic Grey eskimo kisses, lace, cardstock and pearls from stash. Used Nesties and Martha Stewart Snowflake punches.

wHAT'S oN yOUR wORKDESK wEDNESDAY

Morning, still a Winter Wonderland here in N. E. Scotland and I still haven't moved very far from my desk. Saying that, off shortly to deliver an order down in the village and since I'm venturing that far I might as well go on into town.

I pass this Awesome icles on the way. A spring in the rocks frozen on and off throughout the Winter. Magical I say!

Whats on my desk? Making this drawer set for my Granddaughter Naomi. She just loves rakin through my Jewelery box so I decided to make her one for Christmas. The top is an Easel drawer card, thanks to Brenda at Floral Fantasies for the tutorial, made my drawer ever so slightly smaller, thought it was a bit stiff for little hands to pull out, used eight match boxes, glued in twos. Cut  three scalloped squares on Cricut with Storybook cartridge and one grundgeboard base to make it extra sturdy.

Once glued will decorate with these papers and add LOTV images, might change my mind on this though, not sure if they are going to fit neatly on the panels

Haven't yet decided how I will decorate the card on top.  Hopefully get it finished in the next few days and post on my blog. Then it's off into Aberdeen to do a bit of Christmas shopping and find some little bits and pieces to put in the drawers and if I have time will maybe pop into Hobbycraft. Not that I need anything but I'm sure there will be something catches my eye!
Thanks for popping in by and if not through Julia's Stampin Ground, pop on over and join in the fun. Hopefully see you all next week.

Light it up!

I love these papers, Basic Grey, Jovial , just couldn't make up my mind which ones to use with this gorgeous stamp Sweet Dreams by Penny Johnston. Wanted to show as much as possible of the floral paper which wasn't easy considerating the size of the card and the image, really pleased with the final result. Hope the recipient loves it as much as I!

The roses I added a touch of glue and dipped in Glamour dust giving them a frosted look.

Whats on your Workdesk Wednesday!

No view! It's snowing once again! Soon won't be able to see the hedging

Morning folks,  last Wednesday I posted we had snow, well hasn't stopped much since and I haven't moved very far from my desk. Live out in the country so safer to stay at home and keep cosy and I must say seem to have more energy, not quite swinging from the rafters but happy I'm able to craft so much.  Just hope the postie can get through, had a wee spend on the net and hoping it arrives today. I'm sure hubby will plough our road before he goes to work, probably wouldn't if he knew more stash was heading my way!
My card is for the challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers. This week White/Splash. Decided too keep it clean and simple.
