Less is More!

Morning to you all. Nearly threw the towel in with my Less is More card this week!  My card caused me so much grieve! Everything went perfect till I came to the sentiment,  hate stamping straight onto the card. Messed up twice so next time I did it the other way round, now why didn't I think of that in the first place!

Would of made life so much easier if I had done this first time round, a simple quick card that should of taken 15-20 mins, took half the afternoon lol!

Used Linen card, embossed in white with  Hero Arts Flower Swirl Vine. Stamped Hero Arts Antique Engravings butterfly onto heat resistant Accetate Morningand embossed with embossing powder, cut and added white pearls. Sentiment from SU Flight of the Butterfly stamped with Memento Rich Cocoa.

Kiss Me Quick!

Hello! Another card, gosh have blogged nearly everyday over the last fortnight, how good it feels to have a clear head and not feel ill everyday. This supplement must be doing something right, just need it to program the energy levels to go soaring through the roof! Well, maybe asking a bit to much there so will settle for a little bit more please lol.

Right on there please lol!

Right, my card I have followed the Sugar Bowl challenge sketch. Have used one of my new stamps I bought the other day, 'Kiss Me Quick' from Sugar Nellie, so adorable and know exactly who's getting this one!  Coloured with Promarkers. Used Cosmo Cricket 'Mitten Weather' , yummy papers! Now the tricky bit, was for me anyway! A couple of goes at the Martha Stewart cut around the border punch before it was presentable enough to use.

Keeping Cosy!

Morning to you all. Nothing for it yesterday but to craft , rained constant and so cold with it, heating on yet again so least I was dry and cosy. Liked the sketch over on pennyblacksaturday and this is what I came up with. Least it helped get another Christmas card done and just loved bringing this gorgeous snowman to life
Was on Funkykits site the other day and I see new Christmas stamps are heading our way, saw a preview of one when at Elgin on Saturday, ooo a must have I think when they go on sale on September 1st.

Chugging Along!

Morning to you all, well it's poured here all night, I know cause I was awake most of it. Had a lovely day out yesterday with friends , bought a few crafty things so hopefully have a little play later, like the look of the pennyblacksaturday challenge sketch so who knows, might have a card by the end of the day if I haven't fallen by the wayside with lack of sleep. My card is for my grandson, papers I think a bit sombre but have a real country feel to them. He's becoming a right little farmer, loves a play in his dad's tractor and checking the coos.

Bring me Flowers!

Morning to you all, a very quick post today. Soon be flying out the door to meet up with a couple of crafting friends for a bit of retail therapy. My youngest son Rhys says he'll cook dinner tonight, perfect end to my day. Was looking for a card on my computer and came across this one I made for BTC&G's challenge last month and never got it posted, shame not to blog her!  By the way, still time to enter this months challenge 'The Sea'.

Used a Sara Kay image and coloured with Promarkers. Quite pleased with my colouring for a change!

I would tell you what papers I used but have mislaid the pad, where on earth I start looking I don't know! I think they're My Mind's Eye, correct me please if I'm wrong. Didn't overdue the flowers, I think it looks okay as it is!

Hope you all have a great weekend, hopefully make something with new stash on Sunday, if I buy any that is lol!!

Mirror Mirror!!

Morning, weekend's come round so fast once again,  been a busy week making cards, feels great I can tell you. Thankyou  everyone for there lovely comments, great to be able to blog hop and pick up inspiration from others and is rather lovely when a fellow blogger gleams some from you! No grandchildren this weekend, they're sunning it up in Majorca, so a little craft shopping  therapy I think is needed! Really looking forward to the trip with friends and lunch on the way back, well that's if we don't spend to much time in Paper Crafts Boutique in Elgin....could be afternoon Tea due think!!
Okay onto my card, probably for Naomi, cause she's so special. She loves looking in the mirror when she's all dolled up, so funny watching them eyeing themselves up this way and that!  Had a good rake amongst forgotton papers, used Papermania I think, Doily from Simply Create Alford, the ribbon  Lace (just have to have more of this gorgeous lace from Paper Crafts Boutique, real yummieeeee) and flowers from various online shops. The leaf  branch and borders are Martha Stewart.

Thank you for visiting my little world, your comments make my day. Have a lovely Weekend.

Less is More Things That Move

Morning, a bit dull here today, just hope it brightens up as the day goes on! A Less is More card today from me and this week, Chrissie and Mandi would like to seeThings That Move! Really like  the TH weather clock and along with the Hero Arts Live Life sentiment this is what I created. And since I failed miserably with last weeks challenge, yes I didn't take on board the Inky challenge, brain was somewhere else that day so I thought I would incorporate it  in this weeks one! Since it's my Wedding Anniversary today, 32 Years, I'm giving it to my hubby.

Happy Days!!

Morning, another beautiful day here. After yesterdays post, Kath wondered if I was on happy pills!! Well Kath and maybe any M.E./Fybromyalgia sufferers out there, could this be the answer to my prayers! Early days and don't want to get my hopes up to much but trying a supplement. My son came across it on the net, a common ingredient used in cough mixtures but also used for other things. This doc claims it helps us sufferers, take with a pinch of salt if you like but always willing to give something a bash. Have to take a far larger dose, which is usually the case when trying these wonder cures (I have tried many) but I must say I have lost my foggy head, thank gawd! Nothing worse than going around in a daze half the time and I don't feel ill all the time, what a relief that is. Not leaping from the roof  tops yet but as I said very early days!  Okay, enough of my ailments, onto my card
Followed the sketch on the Sugar Bowl and optional colour Blue. So enjoyed making this, just love the adorable Sugar Nellie image. Had to try out my burst of inspiration with the Craftworks Candi by adding letters.

You are my Sunshine!

Afternoon folks. Not posted a card for a couple of days but haven't been idle.....looked out papers to make a card and ended up making three layouts with papers long forgotton about in the cupboard. This card is using Forever Friends Pink Parfait papers. Did at one point think it was going in the bin! Eyesight playing funny tricks today, nothing looked straight or evenly distributed, gawd so frustrating, then the camera wouldn't play ball, couldn't find the piccies on the memory card so took some again, still  nowwhere to be seen, then I opened another folder and yes they were in there, that's never happened before....must of been gremlins playing with me !!

Pennyblack Star Dance Stamp

What a lovely Sunny weekend we have had, about time to. Had a real busy time in the garden, well I was busy giving the orders while my men folk did the grafting lol! Been neglected these past few years since I haven't been so fit so time to make it more manageable. Putting most of it into grass, then I can just have a few pots dotted about. \Just hope they don't do a disappearing act on me next weekend and the weather keeps up. Ending my weekend with a little play with this lovely PennyBlack stamp...Star Dance. Think it makes a lovely less is more card. Didn't think I would be back so quick to play a less is more challenge but as I said, think it's the road I'm going this year with my Christmas cards.
So quick once I've made up my mind what I'm going to make!

Pennyblack stamp star dance inked with TH Pine Needles, embossed with detail clear embossing powder, glittered the stars and star gem added to bow. Great Impressions stamp From our house to yours embossed with TH Pine Needles and detail clear embossing powder. Checked ribbon and gems from stash.
Lovely to see I have some new followers and thank you for your kind comments you've all left over the last week.

Less is More with Cuttlebug/Sizzix

At long last I've made a card for the Less is More challenge. Really wanted to play along but not my usual style and also find it quite difficult to play with less. It's also my first Christmas card of the year. Think it's going to be a Less is More Christmas this year and keep the more elaborate for family, less stressful I think since always running at the last minute at Christmas!

Thank you for dropping in by and for all the lovley comments you have left over the past week. Hope you have a lovely weekend and the Sun shines where ever you are!

A Touch of the Blues!

I'm here again! Twice in one day, don't think that's happened in a long time, keep it coming I say. Haven't enetered Pennyblack Saturday challenge for an age and when I seen it was make your own background was just right up my street, Used linen card for my base, stamped Pennyblack flower bunches (can't remember the set name and of course through out the packaging, tut tut...( I'm sure Kath you will enlighten me!) have learned my lesson since then, using  Hero Arts soft pool and embossed with clear powder, inked the edges with Hero Arts sand ink The topper is Pennyblack Letter/Daisy inked with Sand, 3dd the flowers, mounted onto linen card inked with Sand ink. Thinking of You sentiment from same set. Added Lace, gems and ribbon. Now I must go and tidy up the shocking mess I have created today, little ones coming later and would dread to think how much worse it could get. First though Dinner to make. See you tomorrow, been playing with my Cricut.

By The Cute & Girly August Challenge

August time and when's our Summer up here in N.E. Scotland going to appear! Really brassed off with the lack of Sunny hot days, think I'll have to try and persuade Hubby to whisk me off to a Sunnier climate for a week, can live in hope. Right By The Cute & Girly Challenge this month is THE SEA. For me, it really had me stumped.... not much stash suitable and left it rather late to do anything about it. Now I really missed out on a spend there, didn't I, dash it. Never mind, after much searching amoungst my files I came apon this image of  this sea view. Found a google image which I printed onto My Mind's Eye Fine & Dandy papers. The star fish have been lying about for a long time and wondered why I ever bought them... well what don't you buy when you go off gallivanting to Glasgow craft show! Hopefully having had to push my inspiration has blown away the sawdust and let craft life resume once again, here's hoping lol! Hope you'll all find time to join us in this months challenge and take time to visit my crafting buddy's blogs.
