An afternoon of crafting with friends. Set ourselves a challenge to help us get motivated. Used Mojo Monday's sketch and for once we all finished our card. I decided to go all inky so was a bit slower than them with their paper creations. Would of shown their lovely creations but left the camera on yesterday morning and flattened the battery.

Hero Art Stamps & Me!

Finally finding time to play with my new Hero Art stamps. Quickly jotted down ideas that were floating around my head before they vanished out of sight. Why! cause I really wanted to get into this but first I had a DT card to make for BTC&G, still time to enter this months challenge Bling it on if you haven't already done so, cutting it fine this month but just about their.  Been a while using a few stamps on one card and you could say a bit anxious that it would all come together but hopefully it looks okay, I'm pretty pleased with it, what you think!! Love creating a blank canvas using stamps, think it's then really a me card, if you know what I mean!

WOYWW!

I have a very tidy desk this morning, Gosh what's wrong, not like me' Had a rearrange, something I used to do frequently years gone by, hubby always said he never seemed to come home and find things in the same place. That all changed when M.E, come knocking on my door. Not important any more keeping everything tidy, like to use my energy doing things I enjoy nowadays. Bought the tote to try and be more organised and so far seems to be working but since I only got it on Saturday it's earl;y days I think. Made a DT card yesterday and it just seemed right putting everything back in it's place. Now how long will that last! My it takes up quite a lot of space but least everything is at hand. . Had a brainwave on Saturday evening, not something that happens often so jumped in feet first and ordered a rotating cake stand. Thought I could set my tote on it and I could just whizz it around and find what was needed. Well it arrived yesterday morning,

it works a treat. Attached it to the bottom of the tote with extra strong sticky tape. Have now got myself a carousel tote caddy.

  Right now for the fun part. Off to have a nosey round WOYWW over at Julia's Stamping Ground

Little Blue Truck

Morning folks, another card using Fred She Said's  little truck. This time used the pre-coloured image. Was strapped for time and took the easy option. Used Hero Arts background stamps Canvas Stripe and Silhouette Grass inked with Tim Holts brushed corduroy  and mustard seed, then embossed with clear powder then distressed background with Faded Jeans. Letters from Fiskars and Bottle Cap Alphabet from Stamping Sensations

My Hero Art buys

And so many new ones in the 2011 Catalogue, must they keep tantalizing us, silly question. Me with a big Wedding coming up, a new posh frock to be bought, how will I juggle the purse strings, yikes!!!. No card to show and will have to tidy up first before I hopefully get going and make a card with some of my new Hero Art stamps ( please please don't make those eyes at me I might just buckle with no willpower  and get no further away from this desk  and start playing about although sounds a far better senario lol. Bought on Saturday at the Simply Create shop re-launch. Had a great day out with my crafty friends and as usual Kaths demo was brimming with inspiration, hope some has rubbed off lol! Lovely cards and the plaque was gorgeous, I'm sure she'll be posting them this week, so hope on over for a nosey. Right, off to tackle this housework and hopefully be back soon.

LOTV & Tickled Pink!

A quick post today, soon be jumping  (well something like that lol!) into the car and away for a fun day. Remember Simply Creates open day! Can't wait to see the new shop and all the yummy stash, hopefully there will be something takes my eye and fall off the shelf into my basket, watch this space. See how good I am or not as maybe the case!  Used LOTV square and My Minds Eye Tickled Pink papers. Think they go so well with this image. I do have this stamp, hopefully get into the swing of things and colour her up myself. These dark days fairly spoil the piccies or could be the photographer just not up on  her camera! Looks more like orange  than pink. Right, must dash and spruce myself up, takes a bit of time to look anything like these days lol!!

Shopaholics!!

Not sitting about much this morning, a bit cold here in my craft room. Have the boiler man coming to service my Rayburn so no heating till he's finished. Thankfully it wont take  long then I'll be able to get crafting and all cosy again. Card made for a friends birthday,, think it reflects our little trip to Glasgow  to the SECC back in October, all those bags, think Auds carrying some of mine, can imagine what she thinks of that statement.

Farm Help!

A card for my box, hoping to keep this up this year so not caught on the hop when a card is needed at the last mo. Being farming folk loved this little stamp, caught my eye on Sir Stampalot when looking for something completely different, nothing new there. Great image for young or oldies around me. Anyone near me! Sure to be a great day out this Saturday at Simply Creates open day ,Alford. Really looking forward to my first day out this year. Still got my Christmas pressy money to spend. Pastures New!

Morning everyone. Hope you all had a great weekend, mine was taken up with my grandchildren. Saturday was one early start, my grankids don't do late starts, Naomi came through at 5.45am, groan from Nana and Granda never let on, typical. We had a late night visiting friends so not feeling bright eyed and bushed tailed I can tell you (now when I felt like that I have no idea, only think when I was going on a shopping spree, ah, now there's a surprise lol!!!!). No persuading on my behave would get her to snuggle down and give Nana a couple of more much needed hours beauty sleep. Well I was knodding off by 9am which only lasted a few mins but finally fell into oblivion early afternoon and I can tell you I was tucked up smartly in bed by 9pm exhausted. Managed to get on blogland last night for a peak of what was happening out there and nearly missed Sparkles Forum winners post, made the Top 3 , whooo hoooo. Thanks girls.  Made this card for a friend of a friend for her father's retirement. Didn't know much about him but thankfully she was chuffed to bits with it, Phew!

Great start too the week, Something went wrong with the first post, had to delete and start all over again, just would not reload onto blog after removing something. I know I've missed some of the challenges out and can't remember what they were, Gawd, think I'll go back to bed and start again. Roll on February, brain might be returning to normal!!

Oh Boy!





Morning folks, haven't been around all week, seem to be stuck in first gear! One card , that's all I have to show for my week, hope things are going to move up a gear or two soon. Even my internet is on a go slow seems to take forever for everything to load.  Seen it was Make your dreams come true day so I could dream for a more dynamic me.Live in hope!  Never mind, there's always next week and the week after and........ Maybe the postie will deliver my new goodies I bought, that might get the juices flowing and there's a new challenge over at ~Simply Create for us crafters all to enter with a very generous prize of £100 of yummy stash, now that's what I call a blissful dream!

My second DT card for Simply Create using the Glitz Design papers. Loved working with these, so many designs and colour choice for mixing and matching. Butterflies from Hero Arts stamped and embosed onto the paper. Added pearls from stash.

Simply Create DT card Day One and WOYWW

Christmas over, tree back in it's box and Hubby back to work today , no more , is the kettle on Mum? whats for lunch Mum? when's dinner? Not that I'm complaining, like everyone else I'm sure. love having my family staying but  there comes a time when you look forward to some me time even if its getting the house back into some kind of organised chaos, in my case anyway. Forgot all about it Sunday and had a play with my DT stash for Simply Create. Will be heading for Alford Saturday January 22nd for Jaqui's open day. New shop, so can't wait to have a nosey and hopefully have some fun. So mixed up with the days just now, nearly forgot it was Wednesday and time to have a bit of fun over at Julia's Stampin Ground , What's on your Wednesday Workdesk.
Have some bits and pieces left over from my kit so just having a play around, see what I can come up with. Have a plan to be more organised, just haven't got round to putting it into practice. Looked out a plastic tray to keep track of the things I'm using while working on a project but somehow have mislaid it at the mo.

By The Cute and Girly Challenge card 2

Well, I can't wait to get back to some kind of normality, for me that's loosing myself in my crafting but first have to get tidied up after family have all gone back home and hubby back to work and oh , not forgetting the housework thingy that always seems to be in the way. Mind you quite good at ignoring it these days! Just close my eyes to it and focus on the craft desk so much more fun and rewarding.
