Music round the Tree!

This frenzy of Christmas card making has surely gone to my head! Had to go searching for yesterdays newspaper to check what day it was, I was sure it was Wednesday today. Kinda earned an extra day crafting then, if you know what I mean! Onto my card, one for a man I think, always find them a challenge, usually tailored for that person so great satisfaction with the end result.

Ladybug Sketch Challenge

Afternoon folks, seems to of been ages since I posted a card! Not been idle, just haven't had much time, where does it go? Been crafting on and off all weekend, nothing else for it so much snow here. My card is for the Ladybug Crafts Ink challenge this week. Bought this stamp at the SECC where I seen Debbi colouring this cutie with promarkers. Me, I used my Prismas, still haven't got round to experimenting with the pens, need more colours!! Made it specially for my one son who is out in Australia. Will remind him of our Westie I think.
What's it like with you, weather wise? This is what I see from my desk, no wonder I take so long making a card, tend to have a gaze every now and then.

Follow the sketch this week

WOYWW!

Morning folks from a wintry N.E. Scotland, the view from my craft desk, a dusting of snow and they say there's more on the way for the weekend so will be staying put. Family will be out as usual so no time to craft. On the craft front, these are my lovely birthday cards from my crafting buddies.

Yesterday  started off  with a phone call from the other side of the world, Australia. My son Alan wishing me a happy birthday, so lovely he hadn't forgotton

My son's partner made this huge amount of Bounties with the help of my granddaughter Naomi, Kelly, what are you trying to do to my figure and me trying hard to loose weight for the Wedding! Well I never! The box was full when I last looked in last night, Ah well, weight lose target still on by the looks of things!!

My youngest son Rhys and his girlfriend Nicola bought me the Jackie Magazine CD collection, a trip down memory lane, how many pop idol posters could a girl plaster her bedroom walls with!

And what's on the craft scene! Not a lot, have been trying to get a card made for the past few days and not getting anywhere fast, struggling to keep up at the mo

And lastly a pressy from a friend, what could she be implying I wonder!!! Hubby rests his case!

Thanks for popping in by my world and hope to see you over on Julia's Stamping Ground this week

Whats on Your Workdesk Wednesday!

Morning folks, started this a few days ago and finished last night, added the gems and glamour glitter. Used my new thingy a Kandi professional rhinestone applicator more bother than it's worth I am thinking, gems keep falling off before I reach the;r destination and have to make a mad dash for my poky tool to place them in the right place before they set., that's if I can remember where I dropped it from the last dash! Won't give up just yet on it but can see it landing in the back of a cupboard yet.
Hope your all having a great WOYWW, if you don't know what on earth  I'm talking about, get yourself a cuppa and a choccy piece and head on over to Julias Stampin Ground blog and join in and see what we're all up to this week. How much time I have depends on if I can find a lorry for a special card, not having much luck at the mo so here's hoping I find something quick so I can sit back and enjoy.
Have some blog candy here, just a little something to celebrate my coming birthday, would love you to enter.
This is my collection of TH inks on my shelf, after reading Julias post yesterday thought i would share, wouldn't do for us to have the same likes and dislikes, love mine, a distressed kind of girl!

A Glittery Christmas

A very frosty morning here today, beautiful blue sky overhead. A walk with the dogs and hopefully settle down to some playing, may have to do some tidying up first, such a messy crafter, a constant battle.
Not the kind of card I make nowadays but seen this 3d Robin and knew my Mum would love him, rather old fashioned I know but like to make cards appropriate to the person and this is her kind of card.
Used gold holly  leafed card, red satin card embossed with holly cuttlebug folder. This card cracked slightly when embossed so glittered the cracks, quick effective result I think. Glittered the Robin piccy, added ribbon, now the berries on the ribbon where pink so used a Sakura white gelly roll to whiten and give a raised effect. Entering this in Pollycraft Monday Challenge a glittery Christmas, Ladybug Crafts Ink - Christmas Sparkle
Have some blog candy, would love you to enter.

A bit of Retail Therapy!

Yes at it again! Well I couldn't go all the way up to Simply Create and not shop, now could I!!! Delivered my creations to shop and got a lovely greeting from Jacqui and Anne, spent ages browsing, don't want to miss anything! Always something new to tempt, came away with some more of these altered boxes to make for Christmas and a couple of boards, yummy ribbon, how much can a crafter want, will have to rethink my ribbon storage! Penny Black stamp ideal for my Neice and husbands card and those gorgeous bobunny papers. Saying that nearly left my bag of stash on floor by the counter, nearly as bad as you Helen! So plenty to get on with, going to be busy, busy so Carol remind yourself, don't spent so much time on here blogging! Hope you have a great weekend, must dash and get dinner organised or hubby will be home and it's still not in the Rayburn, he'll be putting me in it!!

WOYWW!

Morning folks, a bonny sunny  day here at the mo and I'm heading over to join in the fun over at Julia's Stampin Ground where we can all have a snoop of fellow crafters craft areas although I failed miserably last time so much happening and no time to blog. Hopefully things will be less hectic this week.

Lots going on and wasting no time tidying up inbetween, will regret this when needs must and no room left to craft on. Although I did sort out my Prisma pencil arrangement. Using yogurt pots divided my pencils into colour ranges so much easier to find now, maybe takes up a bit of extra room but worth it.   Having a break from Christmas card making, a few  birthday cards needed soon. Experimenting with purple and burnt oranges and yellows.

Pretty happy with the combo so hopefully will look right when assembled. Purples not a colour I use much, bought the Papermania papers some time ago when I seen a card made with them, looked pretty good but they got laid by until I remembered about them, wonder how many more has been forgotton about! Finding it hard to find accessories amongst my stash to go with it though. The cream flowers I will ink, the ribbon bought way back. Using my new tool, the purple wand thingy to fix gems but not having much luck with it at the mo!
Thanks for dropping in by my little world!

Happy crafting

A card for a man!

First card made for Simply Create using My Minds Eye Holly Jolly papers and stamps, avaliable from the shop. How first impressions can be so wrong about not really liking something! Yep, wasn't that impressed with the papers but once I started playing I thoroughly enjoyed making all my projects. Think this one makes a lovely card for the country loving  man, very masculine.

SECC FUN PICCIES TO!!!

Are you ready !

Well I've had some weekend, Drifters on Friday night and they were fab, not so sure about sitting in the rafters looking from the dizzy heights down on them! Off to bed early and up and away to do some serious craft shopping  on the Saturday and hopfully meet in with some of our buddies. Such a scary thought, three aisles on and stash flying off the shelves into our bags and we still had another day to go. Chilled out in evening with a small glass of the fiery stuff, medicinal purposes only I hasten to add! Checked out the days buys and off to sleep to recharge the batteries for another day. Day two was more laid back and watched a few demos, had to check out Debbi demoing Promarkers and she made it look so easy, going to get my ones out and give it a bash. Tired out be middle afternoon so headed back to train station, had a bite to eat, met up with Kath, Anne and Debbi and settled into a train journey I'm sure our immediate  passengers would of liked to of banned us from. Wonder who the ringleader was? any suggestions girls! Took loads of photos but lucky for you they looked like what you see when you look out the train window, woooooooooosh,  if you know what I mean!

Debbi strutting her stuff with Promarkers, can't wait to have a play but think my desk needs clearing up smartly before hubby arrives home!

Guess whose goodies these are? And still had Sunday to go! Wasn't me, scroll to the bottom!

Kath and her beloved Fiskers !

My lovely travelling companion Aud and Anne

These ladies caused so much havoc on the train no wonder they're covering up! Do you know them?

OK, guess who's no 1?

no2?

no3?

no 4? And it looks like the only one with any  commonsense has evaded the camera, who was she?

Halloween night, did I microwave hubby! Lucky escape, you all did a fab job with the house while I was away. A lovely home coming.xx
Camera battery just died on me so no peaks at my buys, hopefully tomorrow I'll brave the world and and show all!

There, wasn't so bad was it!!!!!! Thanks for making the train journey such a quick one! See you Saturday.
