Evening folks, just managed to fit in this gift bag for Simply Create before I tidy my desk up for the weekend. Little people staying the weekend and I will be far from keeping them from pulling my stash to bits. Off to SECC in Glasgow  with my friend Aud for a whole weekend of craft and a little trip to see The Drifters in concert and hopefully meet up with some of my teemies from Simply Create. Must stop in b y Kath for a demo on the Fiskers stand and Debbi the Promarker Queen, seriously need some tips on how to use them.

Altered Box Vintage Style!

Morning folks, hasn't been any time for blogging or crafting this past week. Was itching to settle down and finish my altered box for Simply Create. My DT box of goodies landed on my doorstep over a week ago and the beginning of last week was the first opportunity I had to get my hands on it. Started to play around with my altered box and has lain and teased me until, finally got some me time last night to add the finishing touches.
MME papers roughed up a tad and distressed with TH Mahogany and Vintage Photo. Emobssed MME Holly Folly images with Ranger gold embossing powder, added buttons  (all available from the shop, online coming soon). Fixed lid with recycled elastic (don't worry, not from my undies!). My tealightsd I glittered with gold glitter spray.

WOYWW

 

It's Wednesday morning and there's been a dusting of snow, bbrrrrr!  Time to have a nosey round each others craft space once again over on WOYWW.  If you've got a five mins to spare ( tounge in cheek) it's fun, meet like minded folks and lets me see so many folks with a desk like mine! Love it!
My desk this week has my DT kit from Simply Create, my local craft haven where I can escape reality for a wee while and come out pounds lighter!!!    Papers and stamps from  MME  and a box to alter. Hope to find some time to play later! Busy week ahead, my Mum is 80yrs on Thursday so off to spend the day with her and hopefully a little family party for her at the weekend. This is the card I have made for her, well not sure if I will give it to her as I don't think I like it, spent all afternoon moving  everything about and thought it just wasn't working for me. Anniversary

Morning to you all, only card of the week from me. Had a trip into town, clothes shopping, at the beginning of the week and to say it was tirings an understatement. Didn't think the shops were very busy, should of used the time to do my Christmas shopping instead. Once again never went near a craft shop! What's going on here girl!  But the show must go on and this card here is for Nicola to give to here Dad and Mum so hope she likes it!! Messing about, stamping, distress inking, yummy lace and pearls,love it, a bit dissapointed with my pin but didn't have white pearls so had to be. Added to my growing shopping list!! . Will make a box for card as not to spoil the 3d effects.

What's up Pussycat!!

Morning folks,
Card order for the end of the week, trying to keep ahead of myself for a change and because I'm going clothes shopping in town,  mightn't have much energy later in the week after raking  the shops for something to wear to a Wedding dance at the weekend. Would I not have something in the wardrobe! Probably yes but would it fit, probably not! Not even going to go there!. Why is it the weight flies on but quite a different story trying to loose it again. The odds are stacked  against us, cooking! middle age!cardmaking! no housework workout! and the biggest culprit the irresistible chocolate, can't just have one! My willpower Gene is non existent. If you know me, you'll of already worked that one out!! he he. The only way to avoid it is simple, don't keep any in the house.. I keep telling myself this but what about the grandchildren!

Blue Christmas with Hero Arts!

Just a quickie before the mob invade. Watched my film last night and yes I couldn't find my son in it. Had to text him to ask where he was, after flicking back and forth, ah yes there you are! Told you if I blinked I would miss him, could of been anyone, no resemblance, a policeman! Come on man, you've never been serious in your life!
Another Christmas card, blue and white which I love and don't think there's enough of them about. Well my opinion anyway! Used Linen card and embossed Hero Arts Pine Flourish with White Opaque embossing powder, have used this powder time and time again, just love it. Must remember to add to shopping list, just about finished. Inked over with TH Saphire distressing ink, yummieeee! Hero Arts Raindrops embossed with same powder. Hero Arts Bauble Cling stamp embossed yet again with the powder inked up with Saphire then Glamour glittered and pearled. Have entered this in the Hero Arts October Challenge. Have joined the group, what a friendly bunch they are and so welcoming. Thanks.

Hey Ho we're on our way!

Have had the day to myself, apart from my rogue of a son popping in and out raiding the cupboards , yes young man, noticed the Ribena missing from the cupboard. Bought it for him but wasn't letting on,thought I was having my grand kids but not til tomorrow. What's happening! Have made four cards all Christmas. Well Well where did that mojo thingy appear from, who cares! just hope it stays about for awhile. Well on the way this year, great! Off to watch film on BBC2, probably not my cup of tea but my middle son is an extra in it so if I blink I might just miss him!

Last DT card for Simply Create

Well technically I hope not, for this last months anyway. Just using up the scraps that where left over. Took a bit of thinking out as I didn't have much to play with. DT cards are on display in the Simply Create shop, So if you haven't already been there, and live in the area,  what you waiting for!! simply gorgeous shop and if your a serious shopper it's not a 5minute browse! Think that last sentence was for myself!!!!!! Oh not forgeting my friends, you know who you are!! ha ha

WOYWW?

Morning folks and it's another WOYWW day here. Last week I said I was off to spend 20mins over my cuppa for a snoopy round blogland, Well, what an understatement that was! Everyone so friendly so if you haven't already got going, what you waiting for! A great way to spend some free time, be warned, it's addictive!!!!!  Well, what's on my desk! This is Rory my West Highland Terrier and he ain't a happy chappie. No crafting today, off to take him for his 12 weekly trim. Rather scruffy at the mo but after a cut and a blow dry will be dandy again and probably not speaking to me for a wee while. Not his favourite pass time. I think he's trying to tell me, buzz off Mum, I'm not looking my best so I am not posing for ya!!

Started this last night. Was really too tired and was going to make a card but could not make my mind up which papers to use with the image I had stamped, mojo not playing along so abandoned that idea and fell out on this kit I bought last year and never got round to making up. Have roughed up the edges with my Timmie tool. Just need to have a play about with the die cuts and look out a couple of piccies. Well I wonder how many cuppa breaks I will need this week!!!

Very simple Christmas card. Love this PB  Sentiment with all it's curls and tails. Some folks just like simple and if times running out there will be a lot more of them! By the Cute & Girly October Challenge

Morning folks, the 1st October already and it's time for another challenge over on By the Cute and Girly and this month we're going all SPOOKY. Mentioned to the other DTs had never made a Halloween card but somewhere in the depths of my cloudy memory it just occured to me I must of made when I run the local playschool many moons ago. I remember once dressing up for the playgroup Halloween party as a witch, long black dress, face all painted up warts and all, witches hat and a pair of tackedy beets (boots). Arrived and parked in school playground and an audience of bin men where standing at the gates. Great! Cast a spell on them and clumsely ( well they were size 10s) walked on by them, ha ha!
Right, back to the challenge, this months theme is Spooky and is hosted by my teamie Lisa.  As always you can make whatever you like as long as it fits this months theme.
