Hope you've all had a lovely weekend, mines been hectic, surprise family birthday party (well I did have my suspicions) and babysitting my gorgeous grandchildren so while I still had some energy left made my card for this weeks challenge.

Shaker Card

My inspiration for this card came from Simply Cards & Papercrafts mag. Feature on downloads. www.nitwitcollections.com,never heard of them but I do now!! Fell in love with him straight away and he now has a loving home on my computer.
Used the papers, ribbon, buttons and frame from download.
Mirri board embossed with Cuttlebug folder and cut using Nesties labels 1
Decoupaged bear and added gems and glamour dust.
Snow glitter a bargain.

Crafty Catz Challenge 9 and DT Call

Well! if you don't give it a try you can't be considered so here goes, I would love to be in with a chance to be the next Crafty Catz DT

My challenge card this week is for my son Rhys, a very special card for his girlfriend so I wanted him to be part of it. He helped choose the colours and I did the rest (sounds very familiar).
I used sticky backed smooth glitter paper and embossed it with the Cuttlebug snowflakes folder, had to cut along widthwise so I could fit through bug. Then placed ribbon to conceal.
Frame from Nestabilities, mounted onto acetate, cut double sided sticky sheet to frame size and cut out oval again with nesties and glittered edges. Stuck to acetate.
Mounted cuttlebug hearts card with Sugar Nellie 'Mistletoe' image and assembled it together and mounted onto black satin card.
Mistletoe image coloured with Prisma pencils
Finished with peel offs and gems.
Back to reality, off to catch up on the more mundane things in life and see you next week.

Christmas wreath

Craftycatz Challenge 8

Cards have been few this last week, my mum been poorly so been pre occupied. So hopefully get back into the swing of things and get on with my Christmas cards. Was going to be so organized this year but ended up just like last year, oh well go for organization next year lol!!

Used 6x6 card, chalked backing paper, used Penny Blacks gorgeous Christmas Wreath, inked with metallic ink, dusted with glitter. Xcut holly punchand gems for berries.
