By The Cute & Girly December Challenge

Morning, on the count down to Christmas and not a pressy bought...said to myself last year I wasn't going to leave everything to the last but it looks like I'm going down the exact same road, well can only hope I can do better next year lol!
Another challenge ready to go over on By The Cute and Girly and this month it's LET IT SNOW. This month our digital sponsor is The Paper Shelter who kindly gave us some images to create with so will be showing mine over the coming weeks. Have used Warm in the Winter and Snowman on this card.

A window shaped card that's been lying in a drawer for the past couple of years. Just perfect for what I wanted to achieve with my image, all cold and frosty outside and cosy and warm round the fire inside. Just how I like Christmas.  Accetated the windows, embossed them first with snowflake embossing folder, put it through the Cuttlebug a few times to whiten the snowflakes. Added Stickles Frosted Lace to the outside panes once the card was finished.

Used Marianne Snowflake dies and Christmas tree. Snowman coloured with Promarkers

Marianne Icicle Die, Icicles ,stickled with Frosted Lace and top with Flower Soft

Think there must of been a glare coming off the Acetate, looks like a film down the right side. Must try in Winter daylight again.
Inside decorated with Christmas papers, Marianne corner die, lace, Ribbon (coloured with promarkers to match) and Hero Arts Warmest Wishes sentiment.

Our lovely sponsor Sponsors this month
Prize 1- $20 Gift Certificate from Simon Says Stamp

Prize 2- £10 Gift Certificate from Joanna Sheen

Prize 3- $20 Gift Certificate from The Paper Shelter

Memories all round!

Been real busy socialising and crafting since I last blogged. Went off to the Papeterie on Saturday after seeing Kath's toot for Andy Skinner and was not disappointed. Loved what he was demoing so home with some new stash to have a go myself...no better excuse than that is there! Then off out for my Birthday meal on Sunday night with my family and gorged ourselves, then the hotel owner cut the lights and they all sang Happy Birthday and he produced a cake with a candle on it, Gosh I was so full up and then had to eat cake! Thank gawd I had an elasticated waistband!

Ooo, did I just see the Castle ghost!

Monday I spent finishing of my DT cards ready for next month's challenge, then had a play with My Memoriers Software.  Been a busy weekend on their Facebook page being Thanksgiving and so many giveaways and bargains on their kits...so a wee spend went on them too lol!  You can use my code for a discount on the sidebar if you fancy taking up digital scrap booking. Plenty of tutorials to get you going if you need help. This is my first page of many I hope of my Hubby's parents. Going to build a scrapbook of memories as they are no longer with us. Hubby real pleased with my first effort.

 Our Story Has Just Began!
Used New Orleans Jet Black for the background and the embelishes from Aged to Perfection

bye for now

Woo Hoo!! I've been published

Just had to share my lovely piece of news with you all.
Was contacted by Papercraft Inspirations awhile back, saying they liked what they saw on my blog and in particular  one of my cards and would I be willing to let it be published in their magazine. Well I just about fell off my seat, was gobsmacked but didn't take me long to reply, Oh yes please. Well I thought it wasn't going to happen so got a surprise when I bought the magazine today.

 My card bottom left

To finish the day off, now I never buy scratch cards but did today, why I don't know... must be my lucky day £10 winnings. A wee crafty shop I think with my windfall!

Unwelcomed Visitor!!

Morning, not been about these past few days and haven't anything on the card front to show! I don't usually take any of the bugs my family land with but did not escape this time. Why this time! On my Birthday, inconsiderate little begger..... missed out on a lunch date with my crafty friends and told family to keep away, poor Hubby joined in too so a real misserable couple of days. He's back to work and I'm feeling a lot better today. Never mind a family meal to look forward to on Sunday at the Castle Hotel and hopefully catch up with friends again next week. A Lovely surprise on the doorstep last night from my son Alan. These beautiful flowers. Hope to catch up with you all sometime today.

 bye for now

The Days We Treasure

A Scrapbook page using My Memories Software program. If you've never digitally Scrapbooked before and fancy giving it a go, check their site out, there's a newer version out today.  This is my middle son Alan who we went to visit in London the other weekend. He took us on the London Eye and guess what, I forgot my Camera, lucky for me he used his Iphone, his took better piccies than mine. Off to make some pages of the other two so no favouritism banter can be thrown at me lol!
