Robin Love!

Morning folks, another Pink Gems Robin image today and those freebie papers, My Mind's Eye once again. Kinda short of Christmas papers this year....can you believe I've hardly bought any! Now that's a first for me but have been trying to use up what got for a change. May all change! Taking a trip to the Paper Crafts Boutique this coming Saturday in Elgin with crafty buddies. A demo day and I'm sure yummy stash will be falling off the shelves and accidently landing in my basket lol! Now I hope this is going to post as Mr Blogger has informed me I have logged out in the middle of writing this up and he ain't saving as I go along, he performs some strange moves on us bloggers! Fingers crossed. Well nothing happened so have copied and pasted into a new post. Hope it all links up doing this! We'll soon see, just hope it's not back to square one and a complete new link up to perform, ggrrrr!

Merry Snowman

Evening, my what a day it's been, don't know if I'm coming or going. Had three cards all on the go and just got into such a muddle. Forgot this was the card i was entering in A Gem of a challenge and steamed on ahead with another  and then noticed it didn't quite follow the sketch. Then noticed this  lying on the side waiting all along, what a dumbo lol! And there#s me thinking i would have to give it a by. Think I could do with a bit of what's in his glass! Well he does look rather jolly me thinks lol! He was a freebie on Pink Gems, lovely happy soul so thanks for that Janet. Coloured him with Promarkers & Fleximarkers and added a touch of Glamour Dust and glazed the glass of whatever he's drinking!  Freebie papers too, My Mind's Eye. Added wee snowbaqlls, Marthas Stewart Snowflakes and LOTV sentiment. Started this card off at an afternoon at Lily's yesterday so just want to say thanks for a lovely afternoon, yummy Shortbread and the cake Helen took along and of course had to have both. Off to chill out now and hopefully tomorrow will be back to normal!  - Sketch

birthday wishes

My card was a quickie i made last night just to unwind after a busy weekend with family about. Not that I was very busy! Just couldn't keep up with them all, just sat back and let them all get on with it. I did keep an eye on Naomi my granddaughter while she made a couple of cards with lots of buttons and bows. Wish I'd remembered to take a piccy of them to show you, she would of loved that, her cards on Nana's blog. Funny how the green card has come  out completely wrong, wonder if the ribbon is stealing the Limelight (pardon the pun)! Have tried different settings and just won't play ball, might try another photo dark here today but least it's dry and not cold.

Christmas Bauble Card

Morning. Have been havimg problems the past few weeks with Internet Explorer and finally gave up the ghost and have switched to Firefox. It had virtually ground to a halt, continually closing pages,so slow to open new ones and wouldn't let me download zip files, could of been trying to tell me something there due think lol!  Never mind everything seems to be going well again. My  card I made the other day on my Cricut. Had a friend round so had a big tidy up...didn't want to shock Aud with all my crafty mess I make. We usually take something with us to make at friends houses but thought I would organize something different. Well by the time I had  tried this and that out had undone all my tidying up, why did I bother! We had a great afternoon of experimenting, lots of newsing and sharing ideas. Mind you I ended up with a squint Easel card. I wonder how that happened Aud!!!!! Never mind I kinda like it angled ever so slightly lol! Thanks for the cream cakes, they were yummy.

Happy Christmas Dear!

Morning, Friday here already, my week just flown by and I'm behind with commenting on my blogging friends! Computer, think was all hot and bothered last night and just wasn't playing ball, so slow uploading so had to give up but hopefully later today will catch up with you all but first have a very important visit to to see my Mum. It's her birthday today so better get a move on and head off. My card today is yet another Christmas card, feels like I've made heaps but I bet you there's not that many in the box. Used a Sugar Nellie image, coloured with Promarkers and a touch of Glamour Dust, oh I nearly ruined the whole image, adding the glitter.... glued the hat trim and bauble, reached for the bottle out of my tote, started sprinkling and oh my gawd, gold stuff came gushing out, where on earth dfid that come from! a rush for a scrapper and scrapped it all off, phew, no damage done I'm glad to say. Proceeded with more glue and a sprinkling of the white stuff and all was well. Haven't a clue what the papers are as they were 12x12 and the name is missing, nothing new on that front with me! Added some Snowflakes, lace and gems. Just had a thought, wonder what a Wedding couple getting married would think of a Wedding card made with this sweet pair. Wouldn't see that in the shops would you! Don't suppose I'll ever get the chance to make one . Hopefully be back tomorrow with a card I made with a friend yesterday using the Cricut.

One of those days!!

Was having an off day yesterday., should of been off crafting with friends but wasn't up to driving so decided to have a play by myself, not the same fun but that's the way the cooky crumbles some times. Where my head was when making this card for the Pennyblack Saturday challenge I do not know, my mind does play funny tricks on me! What am I on about, well, here goes. It's use a number this week, with this in mind I set about thinking what I would make. Well I got busy going down the Christmas route, think I must be Christmas on the brain just now.... Looked out my PB stamp and got going creating my background with Hero Art stamps. After I had inked the background I took a baby wipe and gently wiped over the embossing to whiten it up. Had a bit of a blue tinge to it.  Now when I had finished creating the background took a think to myself! What on earth had my flower stamp got to do with Christmas  and my background got to do with Birthdays!! Okay kept going, well I think you do get flowers in the Winter months, I'm sure you do! Once finished, what was I going to do about the number thingy...well it is the 25th isn't it ! Then finally the penny droped, yes so slow wasn't I... The theme  'an age thing'! Okay I give up. Hope I get up in a better frame of mind tomorrow.UGHHHHH.

PB - Blush
Hero Arts - snall dots, sillouette grass
TH - saphire
Seafoam embossing powder

Right in a better frame of mind this morning, so a quick change around and hey presto, a 60th Birthday card.

Now, really had a quiet night last night, once card was finished had a big tidy up on the desk front already for another play today.  A less is more, I think...  found an unopened set of hearts burried under all the mess! Housework done, well all I'm going to do, washing blowing in the wind and dinner defrosting on the worktop, gosh never been so organised!  lol. Off to have fun, bye for now!

Christmas Baubles

Don't know about you but I'm not getting on very fast with the Christmas cards, think the less is more will have to kick in at the last minute ( still have about 8weeks to get them done, what a scary thought eh, Christmas just round the corner!) but in the mean time will soldier on trying to create new designs just because it's fun and also don't find less is more very easy!  I suppose you could say this is a quick and simple card. Like to vary what I play with, well we have so much stash of varying kinds stashed away from prying eyes or little fingers in my case, Naomi my granddaughter is very partial to my glitter and punch drawers...yes have several, I bet there's a lot like me too lol!  This ones using one of my new buys from the Papeterie last Saturday... oh I do love a good old stash shop, gets the old grey cells jumping about again, ready to craft, it's as good an excuse as any in my book.... hee hee!  Red and Blue, seem to have a thing going with these colours at the mo, love them together. Made my own backing design with Hero Arts and Woodware stamps.Fits Ladybugcraftsink challenge this week. One one of there fab images in there blog hop the other week so hopefully will get it coloured and onto a Christmas card very soon.
