What a Day!

What a day been here today, glorious sunshine and warm with it. Took the dogs for a stroll down the track, me in just a tea shirt, mind you had to were my wellies as puddles everywhere from yesterdays rain and back to it tomorrow so they say. Had a phone call from my son in Australia, about time to young man, but thats men for you! And how could I forget! What a start to my day! Winner of September's challenge on Sir Stampalot, Woooopie, am I  chuffed!! All that lovely stash coming my way. On the craft front, not so good. Discarded first attemp with this stamp, tried to do it in pink and brown but just did not like the finished result, maybe because I'm not really a pink person, who knows! So here it is in brown and cream.

I've not long got myself motivated for the day and this is a first joining in the fun with WOYWWand what better way to spend my time when mojo flat than having a nosey around the block. A cuppa and about 20mins before time to get hubby's dinner prepared. My first piccy and yes it's messy!! Must have a tidy but then I always seem to be tidying up and it always ends up like this again in no timel!! This Stampin Up set has been lying around awhile and still not mounted but hopefully by the end of the day I will have a card made using the stamps.

Busy day out and about today, delivered my cards to Simply Create, will be on show in shop for all to see. Off course had to do a bit of craft shopping therapy, so much new stash to tempt the weak like me! Had a good blether with Jacqui and then down the road to Huntly for an afternoon of crafting. Tend to spend more time chatting than producing works of art, managed one, just need to add the finishing touches and will get it uploaded for the Penny Black challenge.
This card is made with MME i believe papers, bazil cardstock, buttons and Hero Arts Trees cling stamp all can be dropped into your basket at Simply Create. Happy Crafting.

M.E. gets in the way!!

But hopefully my sneak peak will blow it away!

Morning folks
Not been around lately and haven't made a card all week, off colour more than usual (don't want to bore you but someone out there might be in a similar situation you know) and a little niggle has  always been in the back of my mind, for seven years in fact, do I have M.E.! So many conditions out there with the same symptoms and your only tested for the everyday conditions out there. Have never accepted my illness, just wanted it to go away and get on with my life, the only good thing that has come out of it is my love of crafting and so many new friends along the way. Back to the off colour situation, have been back and forth to the doctors for six weeks now, miserable with a rash and feels like I've been invaded by beasties crawling all over me and feeling sick from morning til night, god like morning sickness all over again! Says it's a fungus infection, well did I ask anymore? no! brain always working at megga slow rate, didn't think about it till much later and then I start thinking what is it and what does it do to our bodies. Onto the computer and delved into the articles and yes like a lot of other articles I have read over the years, similar symptoms in there to M.E. and when I think about it, never when I'm at the docs I must add I have had similar problems since day one on and off over the years and didn't always follow them up, just got on with it. Must take this up with doc when I have to return in a months time after finishing the course of tablets I have been prescribed. Lots more questions buzzing round my head and another visit onto articles, another fruitless journey? who knows but not giving up, just another chapter in my life and hopefully a result someday soon.
Ooo all that doom and gloom, moving onto something exciting in my life. The postie delivered my first DT crafty collection (yummy) from Simply Create, coming soon, watch this space. Have the next two days to myself so hopefully play away blissfully to my hearts content. Ideas been buzzing round my head these past two days so here's hoping I'm not disturbed and can put them into pratice!  Might find time too feed hubby inbetween, who knows!!!!
Take care and have a great weekend.

By the Cute and Girly September Challenge

Morning folks, hope your going to join us in this months challenge, "Indian Summer" over on By the Cute & Girly.  Not ready to put my teashirts away just yet, looking for some warm sunny days and hopefully fit in a couple of family barbies before the snow comes! Yes, someone mentioned snow in September, jokingly I hope. To help my Indian Summer along I have gone for rich and vibrant  colours to hopefully encourage the sun to shine and keep the rain away, Been plenty of it up here lately. Now for some exiting News! I am now a DT member of  a new Challenge blog coming soon over on Simply Create . Can't wait to see what Jacqui has in store for us all, watch this space!

To top of a lovely warm late  summers day, a beautiful sunset, setting on the hills behind our farm. Only wish my garden was as vibrant, after all the rain we have had, it looks like a droukit rat!
Started off with a piece of white linen card, embossed Hero Arts Silhouette Grass with TH peeled paint, layered Hero Arts (oops forgot which one) cling flowers on top using TH distressing inks, spiced marmalade, barn door and scattered straw. The sky a blend of TH inks, spiced marmalade, barn door, dusty concord, saphire blue, black and versa color canary. Penny Black flower bliss inked with spiced marmalade and barn door and embosed with clear powder, inked background with peeled paint and forest moss. Hand made poppy from tattered florals ( thanks Lily) and PB sentiment inked again with TH spiced marmalade and barn door. The grasses glistening in the center not made by my own fair hands, pity liked the effect the camera left.
