Simply Create - donate a card

Hi folks and yes! yes! yes I can actually say it's a beautiful sunny day in NE Scotland and about time to. After Sunday mornings weather, thought we had jumped right into winter, seriously, we had hailstones and they were lying on the patio, brrrrrrr! Worse than that I have had withdrawel symptoms, no Internet since Friday. Finally re-connected last night only to find there was another fault, keeping my fingers and toes crossed internet doesn't go walk about again. Fine time for hubby to be on holiday, I know there is plenty more of them but it's nice to get the personal touch!.
Right, off to Simply Create this Saturday to Crop, Shop and have lots of fun and at the same time raise money for Save the Children. Hopefully meet some kent faces and have a play with Kath.
Bringing along my card for re-sale to raise funds for this worth while cause.
Played with Hero Arts  background stamps ( oh I wish I hadn't been so hasty in flinging away the packaging, can never remember what they are. Will have to set some time out to remedy this and get myself organised, that is a tall order!!)  Ah the checked image is Large Plaid pattern. Do know that I have used a Penny Black stamp, Poppy Poem (gorgeous). Sentiment, Crafter's Companion. All inked with TH distressing ink Barn Door. Added checked ribbon, craftworks candy and hand made poppy dusted with Glamour Dust.

Edited - Thanks Lisa for your comment and love your theme ( Ladybugs ) for celebrating your 150 followers and congrats on your new DT post. Red for Ladybird, just managed to squeeze in the black dot!

Ah well, if it's not appropriate I will bow out gracefully girls ! honest! It's always another Christmas card done and dusted.

Birthday Girl

Evening friends, shattered today, had a great fun day yesterday with family and friends at an adventure park called Landmark. Great place for the kids even us big ones who just don't want to grow up! Weather kept up for the day, that's a 1st, usually there's rain sometime in the day this Summer. Seem to speak a lot about the weather up here, who can blame us, I'm still waiting for a few days of glorious sunshine in a row.

Played with these gorgeous Tildas, mounted onto little opening cards for those exctra special little messages young loves convey to each other! Ah those were the days!!!! coloured with Prisma pencils, Yummy Papermanie papers and made my flowers using tattered florals inked with TH distressing inks and added roses to the centres
Son seemed pleased with my efforts but then he would, saved him a small fortune I think!
Happy Birthday Nicola,
hope lovely surprises are in store for you, wishing you a lovely day tomorrow.x

And a Cherry on the top!

Gloomy start to the day and not just talking about the weather but here I am two cards later pretty pleased with my achievements. Hope this fruity coloured  card brings some fine weather. Hubby on holiday and there's silage to be cut and if he's studying the weather everyday looking for a couple of dry days and keeps puting it off,  I can't see me getting any away days. Is this an excuse for some crafty shopping days! Well! Any excuse in my book does.
Used Bobunny papers, PB Sweet Thing stamp, Prisma pencils, Kars gems, Sakura gold glitter pen, TH barn door distressing ink, green Bazil card

GLITZ & BLING Christmas sketch

Christmas in August, only good thing about that is another card ticked off the Christmas list, great. Love this PB Christmas Wreath stamp, classy, embossed with Cosmic Shimmer navy viola blaze and inked with TH linen distressing ink  and teamed up with Crafty Bitz Christmas Holly vellum paper mounted onto cream card and lace trim gives a real vintage feel to my card. Love it!  Image mounted onto gold glitter card, my, when did I last use some of that! Sentiment from Inkadinkado and stamped straight onto the vellum. Border strip cut from Martha Stewarts holly border punch and mounted on blue satin sheen card.

KATH

Morning folks, some piccies of my fab day with Kath from all that glitters and my crafting buddies. She certainely know how to give you a good time and her cards are amazing. A real tonic in my book. Where's Jimmy Saville when I need him! Thanks Kath for a truly inspirational day ( I'm sure you will be on the end of my TOUNGE next time I meet up with my friends!!!!!!! ha ha) I have to watch what I upload here, did I see the word blackmail on your blog? surely not!!!!!

Kath in full flow, she is one entertaining lady

Never seen your craft area so messy! Now where has that gone!

Maureen in action,  Lily probably listening to Kath's crafty tips and there was plenty of them.

Everyone so engrossed and Kath just had to get in the picture at the last minute. What did you say about not liking your photo taken!

Lost something Kath! Aud hanging onto every word, weren't we all

My card, botched it up, to much chattering I think, going to put that right, can't waste it.

And finally, no I haven't been idle this past week, been busy making my DT call projects for Simply Create. A fab shop I love to visit, Jacqui the owner and Anne are so friendly and always there to give a helping hand. A new challenge  blog for us crafters is coming soon.
Have a lovely day.

Wakey !!Wakey!!

Hi, hope you've all had a good day, mines been exhausting. My eldest son can't cope with two kids for the day or makes out he can't and shouts for Mum to help out. After a walk up the town for a magazine as my granddaughter calls her comic, icecream , fed them (think this is the part my son really needed Mum for!), bathed and tidied up, I  headed back home and slumped into the nearest chair for a rest. Think it will be off to bed shortly and like my image on my card not looking forward to the alarm making a racket in the morning.
