Alford Craft Shop full of inspiration

Hi to like be crafters out there

Where does the inspiration go I keep asking myself. Was getting really frustrated couldn't make a card for weeks but then I went for a run to the new craft shop at Alford. Wow loved the shop and Jackie so friendly. Lovely stamps and gorgeous papers. Just love papers. She has lots of card samples too get you inspired. Spent a small fortune, had a lovely afternoon and came home and yes got busy making cards. Bought a few Sarah Kay stamps and really enjoying colouring them in. Need some more practise I think was never very artistic with a pencil. Pity it's not just down the road but then again would never be out of it. Look forward too my next visit, hope it's soon.

Edging done with chalk inkSentiment place on back of card mounted on matching paper cut from Nestabilities round shape

A real cutie

Love this stamp so many occasions it can be used for. Had these papers for ages and didn't really like them after buying them but with the right image they look great i think.

Another Sarah Kay, they are absolutely gorgeous I thing. Have just bought some Prisma pencils so no stopping me now. They are lovely too work with and love the colour range is fab.

I find Men's cards a real problem. Like to try and make them interesting so they don't just open, take a quick glance and throw it down. I thought oh no not a male card too make again but I really enjoyed making this one. Loved the backing papers too.

Still need lots of practice on my colouring.

Sarah Kay stamp

Used Faber Castell colouring pencils on the image. Very therapeutic, takes me back too when my boys were little, we each had a page and mum was always left still colouring in long after they had got fed up.
