One of those days!!

Was having an off day yesterday., should of been off crafting with friends but wasn't up to driving so decided to have a play by myself, not the same fun but that's the way the cooky crumbles some times. Where my head was when making this card for the Pennyblack Saturday challenge I do not know, my mind does play funny tricks on me! What am I on about, well, here goes. It's use a number this week, with this in mind I set about thinking what I would make. Well I got busy going down the Christmas route, think I must be Christmas on the brain just now.... Looked out my PB stamp and got going creating my background with Hero Art stamps. After I had inked the background I took a baby wipe and gently wiped over the embossing to whiten it up. Had a bit of a blue tinge to it.  Now when I had finished creating the background took a think to myself! What on earth had my flower stamp got to do with Christmas  and my background got to do with Birthdays!! Okay kept going, well I think you do get flowers in the Winter months, I'm sure you do! Once finished, what was I going to do about the number thingy...well it is the 25th isn't it ! Then finally the penny droped, yes so slow wasn't I... The theme  'an age thing'! Okay I give up. Hope I get up in a better frame of mind tomorrow.UGHHHHH.

PB - Blush
Hero Arts - snall dots, sillouette grass
TH - saphire
Seafoam embossing powder
Martha Stewart border punch
Ribbon, pearls, pins from stash

Right in a better frame of mind this morning, so a quick change around and hey presto, a 60th Birthday card.

bye for now

Gorgeous card Carol. Love the way you've changed it from a Christmas card to a birthday card. Would look lovely as either. I'm pretty well in Christmas mode too. I did make a card for PB too, a birthday card for my great nephew, for next year lol!

Hope you're feeling better today.

Have just done something similar, Carol. Got carried away by the stamp and forgot the theme.
Your card is beautiful and so restful with the blue and navy combo.
