By the Cute and Girly September Challenge

Morning folks, hope your going to join us in this months challenge, "Indian Summer" over on By the Cute & Girly.  Not ready to put my teashirts away just yet, looking for some warm sunny days and hopefully fit in a couple of family barbies before the snow comes! Yes, someone mentioned snow in September, jokingly I hope. To help my Indian Summer along I have gone for rich and vibrant  colours to hopefully encourage the sun to shine and keep the rain away, Been plenty of it up here lately. Now for some exiting News! I am now a DT member of  a new Challenge blog coming soon over on Simply Create . Can't wait to see what Jacqui has in store for us all, watch this space!

To top of a lovely warm late  summers day, a beautiful sunset, setting on the hills behind our farm. Only wish my garden was as vibrant, after all the rain we have had, it looks like a droukit rat!
Started off with a piece of white linen card, embossed Hero Arts Silhouette Grass with TH peeled paint, layered Hero Arts (oops forgot which one) cling flowers on top using TH distressing inks, spiced marmalade, barn door and scattered straw. The sky a blend of TH inks, spiced marmalade, barn door, dusty concord, saphire blue, black and versa color canary. Penny Black flower bliss inked with spiced marmalade and barn door and embosed with clear powder, inked background with peeled paint and forest moss. Hand made poppy from tattered florals ( thanks Lily) and PB sentiment inked again with TH spiced marmalade and barn door. The grasses glistening in the center not made by my own fair hands, pity liked the effect the camera left.

Also entering challenge - Pennyblack Saturday  - Summer Lovin
Allsorts - Park Inspiration
Lexiscreations - Emboss it

Used this chic Miss Froggy image kindly provided by Whimsy Stamps, went along to have a peak and really liked what I saw.
Played with My Minds Eye papers, Prisma Pencils, Nesties, P_B sentiments, ribbon and candy

Charismacardz - Hot Hot Hot

Tilda coloured with Prisma pencils surrounded by a hot splash of late Summer colour. Used bobunny double sided paper and green dots card stock. Punched flowers and leaves. Nesties, Martha Stewart hearts punch, Hobbycraft Arts Victorian print ribbon pearls from stash, hearts charm and hand made pin

Wow Carol you've been busy! I love these cards. I've had nothing to show except DT cards recently.

Congrats on making Jacqui's DT. It was the weekend before I made some cards for her DT call. Worse....it was Tuesday before I did an altered box and tutorial. So my email went off about 20 past 1!! I never thought I had any chance so I couldn't believe it when I got Jacqui's email. I'm so pleased you're in it too and Kath and Judy. I don't think I know anyone else. Can't wait to start.

See you on Saturday.

Kat xx
